The idea for Nogah Chadash has been knocking around my head for a number of years now, but I mentioned it in public for the first time on December 18th 2006. It was received with such enthusiasm that I immediately went to work on this website to begin building the idea into a reality.
What is needed to accomplish all of this is enthusiastic involvement, and support: creative, financial and advisory. Funding will pay the admissions fees of events where we can engage folks who want to be involved in the development of the project. It will finance refreshments and space rental for irregularly held welcoming get-togethers for those folks, once we connect with them. It will go toward paying the primary developer (me) a stipend in order to work full-time on building and promoting this project until I go to study in Israel next year, and part-time while I am there. Finally, it will go toward renting space, buying supplies, buying books, funding limited scholarships for others to events of interest, and all other miscellany of growing this organization in its development phase over the next 18 months.
Revision, suggestions, advice, thoughts, ideas are all eagerly and enthusiastically solicited.
